The saga continues...

quick review: I purchased a magnaflow muffler (12219) its the 3" center center. I gave it to a friend to put on my '00 v6, I guess they said since its center center its really hard to install or they just didnt want to do the fab work. So they purchased a 2.5" offset offset magnaflow and put it on and it sounds STOCK!!! I'm fairly frusterated and upset now...

My Question: Would I notice a difference in sound from the center center 3" from the 2.5" offset offset???

I am desperate to get my exhaust at this point to sound at least somewhat reasonable, but deffinetly not stock with a slight minute rumble...

Thanks for the help
-Trevor

EDIT: So far my car is bone stock minus a lid and filter

You'll get better responses in the V6 section.

not sure if there would be that much of a difference, but then again there might be

I am really only interested in the diff in sound, I know I wont notice anything with performance... its just driving me nuts that I did all the work, waiting and money for basically nada

I would think it could be louder if it is also les restrictive, but that is all in theroy.

but i would think it has more to do with the insides of the muffler thn the Dia. I would think the Dia. would only effect performance. But l could be wrong. (and most likely am)
