View Full Version : A4 nitrous guys...

Where do you have your window switch "on" set to? I have a YANK 3200 and set it @ 3200 rpms last year. I was thinking of putting the 3000 rpm pills in. New mods this year will be MACs & OR Y, ported TB, LS6 cam, ASP ud pulley.

What should I have it set at? Or do I need to find out what it will flash to?

I have 3200-5800. I went 11.80 @ 120 on street tires basically stock...simple bolt on's.

My buddy has 3000-6000. He went 11.69 @ 120 on DR's w/ headers too.

I would do 3100-5800 if I had one!!

I have a Midwest 3500 and I use a 4000 rpm pill on the street with Nittos. It is the only way I can get the car out of the hole with the nitrous system armed. At the track you could probrably get away with running a 3000 rpm pill depnding on if you can get your car to hook or not.

I didn't really play with launching the converter last year, I only got to the track once after the install. I will hopefully get much better this year! I am going to leave the 3200 in for now and see where it actually flashes to on the juice.

Do you guys spray during shifts? or set your window switch to cut nitrous before the car shifts? :dunno: (on a stock converter and tranny, I mean...)

Mine is set to cut N20 before my shifts.

:werd: I had it set @ 5,800. After my retune, the nitrous will shut off at 6,200.

Cool, that's what I figured. I'm starting to think about nitrous, but I don't want to kill my transmission if I can help it.

why would u have it shut off at 5800 when u tach out around 6200???:confused: my dad had the pills at 3000-5800 and u can really tell a difference when u loose the hp. now he has them set from 3000-6200 and what a difference it made.:drive:

It all depends on your shift points.
