Who makes the best one. Which one worked best for you? Is it possible to just buy one from an autoparts store (or similar) or do I have to order it from teh interweb?:help:

The Clay Magic from autoparts stores is a good bar. I have a Zaino claybar and it's pretty good

I've used both the Mother's one and the Claymagic one. You should be able to find at least one of them at a local autoparts store. They both seem to work pretty good.
Although, they do both come with a lubricant. I'd rather pay $3-4 less for just the claybar, but oh well.

ClayMagic is on par with the Zaino bar. If you can get it then go ahead..

Avoid the Meguiars Clay like the plague.

I think it's the Meguiars that tend to get the bad reviews.....?

Hmm, I didn't know Meguiar's even made one. Can't say that I've ever seen it.

I use the claymagic one of my car. Works good. Then I use Gold Class for the wax.

Found a Mother's one and used it on one part of my hood that is real contaminated and it worked real well. I will do the rest of the car tomorrow before work and let you know how it came out. Oh yeah I wll take pics too.
THanks for the replies.

claymagic was one of the easier ones to find in auto stores.... autozone, advanced auto parts, etc all seem to have it.
now if i could just find some more cd-2 kits..... :ripped:

I've never been able to find the kits. I just buy the degreaser then the detailer.

I've found the kits at O'Reilly, and I can find the detailer anywhere. Just can't find the degreaser (which I think runs out faster).

What about some STP engine degreaser :dunno: I'm sure the other brands of the same thing work just fine ;)

Well, they work just fine, but stink to high heaven. The CD2 degreaser is the only one I've found that doesn't stink up the inside of the car for the next week.

I got mine from Autozone for like $12. No complaints at all. This was the first claybar that I used. I bought a Meguaiars one later on, because of the brands reputation...in reality, the ClayMagic one was ALOT better.
