Did any of you with a 96-99 car switch your manifolds to 2000+ tubular manifolds? If so, were there any decent gains?
Those of you that already had tubular manifolds, did you install headers? What did your gains look like?

I will be installing tubular manifolds with my turbo kit come March...I have a 96 3.8L. Right now I have a built motor, and I dynoed at a lowly 150 ish hp/170 ish tq. I should be pushing almost 200 but i still have the stock exhaust and intake. My engine is ported like mad with new internals, beefed up cam/ all that jazz. We are expecting at least 30-40 hp gains with the manifolds alone, just because I am so restricted right now. :drive: :drive:

150 and 170?! Dang, that's pretty low. Are you an auto car? I've got an M5 and i dynoed at just over 170rwhp and just under 200rwtq.

Yep, its an A4. There are many reasons I dynoed so low. I hit the speed limiter, my entire engine cant breathe because of the stock setup, and its a low compression engine, which drops the dyno numbers drastically. :p

I dynoed 186rwhp and 210tq with the damn speed limiter at 115.
It was still climbing when I hit speed limiter and only 4200 rpms.
Im sure I would have seen 200+ hp and 220+ tq at 5800rpms.
At the time I only had RKSport Headers, SLP CIA, American Thunder Flowmaster Catback...

I dynoed 132hp 188 tq. Talk about a beast  And I don't think it was speed limiter related, its just really sloooooow.:zoom:

I G-teched my car when I just had a catback and it pulled 174rwhp. Oh yea with those mods I pulled a 15.2 at a REAL track. AND YES I KNOW G-TECH is crap but someone had it so I tried it out. :p
