It is quick huh. I just got mine back from Magnaflow this morning sounds pretty good. You can hear sound clips at Magnaflow.com not as loud as I thought it would be but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I should have some Dyno numbers tomorrow. Enjoy!

So how do you like your SS? I'm in the market for one, but have yet to actually get behind the wheel of one. I have read the articles and have seen the reported performance numbers, but how does it actually perform in real life? Does it live up to all the hype? I caught a glimpse of one on a local dealers showroom, and quite frankly it didnt have that WOW appeal many new SS badged vehicles these days have. Plain jane is the best way I can put it, but then again that's not to say its a bad thing. I also havent seen much from the aftermarket world for late model trailblazers, which leads me to believe performance mods and enhancements are limited, specially for a model such as the SS. I've seen lowering kits for the 2WD version, but nothing for the AWD model. Anything in the line of heavier duty sway bars? Maybe I havent searched hard enough, but from flipping through a handful of magazines and visiting some of the larger online retail outfits, not much out there for these trucks. It may not seem important or even vital to most, considering the SS comes nicely setup, but for the rest of us out there who may want to tweak our SS a bit more, I think it's crucial to know if what you're getting can be individualized to your liking. So if anyone knows of any good sites to explore or companies that specialize in performance oriented trailblazer parts & accessories, drop a line. I also wouldn’t mind hearing from any SS owners here who would like to give a first hand experience on how they like or dislike their new ride…

I love it! I have a loaded AWD. As for performance :) in the sig....
The pplain jane you talk about might be removal of the roof rack and body side moldings. All positives as far as I'm concerned.
Good sites are Trailvoy.com and Trailblazerss.com.
The suspension is very sporty and very well tuned. At least one Trailvoy member has belltech springs on his ride. Lowering AWD is tougher on any model.
There is currently a performance tune by Vector Motorsports available for the TBSS, it took nearly 1/2 a sec off my 1/4 time. A 2WD dynoed 337 RWHP before and 382 RWHP after. Vector is about to release a CAI. A couple header companies are working on LT headers. Magnaflow has released a cat back. Lingenfelter has put a maggie supercharger on one. All the normal LS2 parts work, heads, cams, torque converters, etc.

Just joined the club over the past weekend fellas. Picked up my Black 06 Trailblazer SS. Man do I love this baby. Can't wait to get past the 500 mile break-in period so I can open her up on the highway.
I'll leave ya'll with a pick (as if you guys haven't seen one before...lol).

IMHO you can't go wrong with these things. I have had mine (07 AWD) for just under 4 weeks and I love it to death. Got rid of my modded '02 WS6 TA for it and I don't regret it even slightly.
Like others have said it will accept pretty much all the traditional LS2 mods and Kooks as well as Stainless Works have headers and many companies have catbacks/dual exhausts for these things. CAIs, tunes, etc.......it is all out there. And yes, there are swaybars available. :yup:
Not too mention a MAGNACHARGER is made for our trucks.
Tbyrne has a good amount of aftermarket stuff if you check their website. Others as well but they stick out for quantity.
I've had my 07 AWD since December 11'2006. I have very few complaints and lots of smiles.
The worst part of it is the mileage, but who cares about that, it's fun!
