After much angst, here is an wholly accurate artists depiction of the 2008 Cadillac CTS. Codenamed GMX322, the 2008 CTS will be slightly larger than the current model and will feature more taut, European styling. Some styling aspects have been taken from the 2004 Cadillac SIXTEEN concept, such as the Egg-Crate Over Mesh grille and the vertically stacked headlamps. Although insiders doubt that the wheels and foglamps are production units, they are extremely sure that the grille and headlamps and the rest of the body are production units, or extremely close to production.

In regards to the interior, insiders tell GMI that the design will be more organic and natural, a few miles away from the computer-inspired dash of the current CTS. There will be added room in the ****************pit and materials will continue to improve.

To add some spice to the lineup, the CTS-V model will feature a 500HP LS7 V8 powering the rear wheels. Production should start one year after the CTS is launched.

The 2008 CTS is rumored to debut at the 2006 New York International Autoshow and GMI will be sure to cover it for you. As always stay connected to GMInsidenews.com for all your latest news and rumors regarding the word's #1 Automotive Manufacturer.

Sweet. They need to offer the LS2 as well as the LS7. They could have a trim level below the CTS-V. :yup:

I was reading over on CZ28.com, that the chop isn't even close.

For some reason I don't see the LS7 in the CTS-V. I see them continuing to use the LS2 for the CTS.

However, the LS7 in the XLR-V would be awesome.

I think they should offer both the LS2 and the LS7 w/ the 3.6 as the base engine. :yup:

I don't think the chop is authentic. Looks like a Fusion w/ a BLS front-end. Some of the insiders on CZ28.com pretty much shot down the chop.

And that's why the E63 will have been out by the time it's released, making more power. :rotfl:
