Best color combinations to accent your LS1.........

I've seen lots of LS1's where people have used a few tasteful decals to add some color to the stock paint job. I'm talking things like a decal over the fire-chicken on the front license plate cover on a TA, or the symbols on the door of either a Camaro or TA, or the lettering on the back........


What color combos have you seen that you liked?


One of my favorites is an SOM 'bird with pewter accents. Pewter on the fire-chicken, pewter on the "Trans Am" on the doors, pewter in the groove of "PONTIAC" on the back, etc.


I personally have a black TA and would like to dress it up a touch. I was thinking of a few different colors, maybe red, yellow, or silver. Any thoughts on that?

Bravo, you've got a very different personality than a lot of people. Not bad at all, just different. Always screwing around, being playful, joking, having fun. For some reason, I think of yellow as that personality. I think some yellow accents would go great on a black TA. I've never seen it before, but I've chopped it and it had an amazing "custom-done" look to it.

I don't think I'd go hog-wild with it or anything, but maybe just the rear Pontiac indentations and the firechicken on the front cover. The side Trans Am emblems could be done in yellow as well, or maybe a lighter silver. Just a thought.

I like a combo look. I chose black AND silver on my red car, and Ive gotten nothing but compliments.

Personally, I dont like yellow anything on any car, but thats just me. I think silver looks best on black. I actually saw red on black once that that looked nice too.

I think yellow is the ugliest color on any car, whether it's an accent on the exterior, interior, or the whole car. The only other color worse is shatbrown.

It's very common but I stuck with the black car red accents just because the SS badges are already accented in red. I also like the Dale E. edition SS where it's back with grey/silver accents.

I was going to do that on my car but never got around to getting the black. After seeing that I think I might. So far I just did the outter wings in graphit metallic and I've really liked it. I think I might do the bird now. Thanks looks awsome.

I like graphite metallic on my red car. I have black bird stripes and then the front bird done.

you can barely see the blackbird stripe in this pic. the color i picked is very subtle, which is what i wanted. my calipers and FRCs are the same color

I've got silver with black accents. All of my suspension is being done in red. (sfc, stb, lca, phr.......) I figured the red would stand out on a silver car.

I went with Chrome/Silver as the primary, and red as the secondary color for my NBM........still makes me stare after 3 years!.... :D
