so.. how many of you built 4l60e folks with 500+ rwhp/tq have had to rebuild?

anyone able to recommend a good place?
I had an ls1 speed stage 2 in my car for about 2000 miles (1500 NA ~350 rwtq, and ~400 miles blown with about 550-580 rwtq) and already lost 3rd and 4th (seems to be common with 500+ rwtq?)
I'm not *that* hard on it. no track time, only radials (nitto 555's, not drag radials). Everyone I talk to recommends a turbo 400, but I want >10 mpg, as this is a street car..

I built a 4l60e that ran fine when I used to ONLY make 516 rwhp with my D1

I had 1 built by a reputable company. Blew out the end of the 3rd gear clutch pack.

go with a Rossler built tranny. do a search for more info ls1tech. they ain't cheap but they'll last.
