Badass car for sure! Drove it from Texas to Tucson to Phoenix. I made the trip in about 3.5 hours less than mapquest said it was going to take. :wall:

I averaged about 105mph the whole way from Dallas to Phx, and you can barely tell you are flying. I did hit 150mph too for a brief stretch, and it had more in it :D

The brakes/handling absolutely hose my 2001 Z28's, and the acceleration is definately better stock vs. stock. Interior? HA! No comparison. Night and day. Better stereo, better everything, period.

Yep, probably the nicest car GM had produced at the time (haven't drove/seen the STS-V yet). If I wanted a 4 door that would probably be the car.

Verbs,

If you twin turbo it your going to need some beef for the back. I've got 295/30's on 19 X 10 CCW 505's and my car still doesn't hook up well. Mine is going in for new rear end in two weeks. GM is finally upgrading the rear end to the one that comes in the 06 V. You'll love the car. I've had mine for almost two years now.

Fastest time I've seen out of one is a 13.1 @ 109 bone stock.

Wait, so all the rear ends in the 04's/05's are automatically being replaced with 06 rear ends or do you need to have a failure first?

As far as hooking up, part of your problem is just as much the fact that you are only running a 30 series tire. Less sidewall hurts you more than less width. I'll be running DRs on the back to help with hooking up. I plan on running a 295/35/18 DR on the back for extra sidewall.

Hotcivic,

Don't want to thread jack verbs thread. I'll post my own. I'll probably have to do a link since it won't let me post attachments.
