GM testing turbo Solstice

Hopefully they will produce a Turbo Sky. The Sky > Solstice anyday. And I never thought the day would come where I actually like a Saturn.

Who said it will stay stock. Its the built up shortblock that you want. Bigger Turbo a little juice = 500 horsepower easy.

Yes this does look sweet. While I like the front end of the Sky better, I think the Solstice overall is a nicer looking car. The Sky's angular lines just aren't working for me compared to the rounded lines of the Solstice.

Plus I will not deal with a Saturn dealer and pay retail prices for a Sky. At least with Pontiac, I can try to talk my way into a better deal than retail pricing.

The Ecotec engine itself has quite a bit of potential according to GM's technical literature. With a bigger turbo and other tricks, 300 crank horsepower probably would not be out of the realm of possibility. This potential is the only thing really swaying me towards the Solstice vs. the Miata.

No prices yet but the best guess seems to be around $25k. A loaded NA Solstice is around $24k so that seems reasonable.

I like the car, I like the idea behind the car, but nothing screams fag like a "cute" little two seat roadster.

Regardless if it's a Miata, Z3, Z4, Del Sol, Solstice, Sky etc.
I could NEVER take two heterosexual males riding in one of those seriously.

I'm sure the car would be a blast (just like those V8 10 second Miatas), but I would only drive it if I was sure I could get away without being seen in it.
