I just read the column as he is heavily Asia biased.

I've heard a lot of people complain about the new Impala, but I like it. I drove one and it's a very nice car. The SS would absolutely blow the doors off a '96 SS Impala, although the '96 looks better IMO.

I might be looking at a new Impala for a D.D. within the next year or so.

it IS a good car, good to see someone recognize. sure it's not that exciting looking - but look at it's competition. they're not exciting looking either.

I have read several good reviews on the Impala, I'll check the car out at the NAIAS. :)

Ive road tested a couple at the job myself. The car deserves good reviews.

His article does not mention that the 3.5L engine is E85 capable. I.E. if you have an available E85 pump, the engine can run any mix of gasoline and ethanol up to 85% ethanol.

won't the Pontiac G6 get the same engine as the SS Impala and Monte? i like the G6

No. The Impala SS is a V8. 5.3L. The Epsilon's most powerful engine is the 3.9L that is in the Impala as the uplevel V6.
