I would LOVE to have a older H1, lifted, etc... and put a new duramax in it:cool:
older H1s in decent chape can be had for around 35k:cool:
then a modded duramax/alison = ?
fab work and supension/tires = ?
= opne sweet off road machine:cool:

LOL... well the H1 Alpha is like $140K or so.... sooo... that's not so bad. The retrofit would be a bitch I imagine though. It would probably be better to look at one of those Dodge truck chassis conversions if that's what you wanted to do.

$$ I put $15k for the motor/trans and $10k for fab and other misc things... that should cover everything

They had to change quite a few things around to squeeze that duramax in there.
The Alpha is sweet, drives real nice and a lot quieter then the old optimizer diesels.

That's pretty cool. I fucking hate the DD 998 ones, they can't even get out of their own way. Not that the DMax will make it much faster, it'll still probably take 14 second to get from 0 to 60. Oh well.
