Oh yeah.... 400hp LS2 and available as an option package on a 1SB mildly equipped 2wd TrailBlazer. Tuned at the Nurburgring in Germany like the C6 and CTS-V.

At invoice price -$2000 cash on the 06 it comes to around $31k. Less than "Silver" was back in 00!!Thinking about a Summit White w/ grey cloth and blacking out the windows.

I want this more than a Hemi Magnum or Charger. As far as weight the LX Chryslers come in at 4100lbs where as the TB is at 4600lbs.

So the question is: would you get a 2wd or a 4wd w/torsen center diff (niiice) for another couple grand?

I think I would go ahead and spring for the 4WD. Does make for an interesting combination of performance and function, eh?

Tough call. The AWD would be nice, although one would assume the 2wd would be faster and get better gas mileage. If I were in the market for an SUV, the new Trailblazer SS would definitely be at the top of my list. I'd have to really check out the rest of the vehicle, but you can't beat the powerplant at that price (or really any price).

i certainly wouldnt mind one.

17 mpg highway for the AWD and 19mpg for the RWD.

I was thinking today how much fun that would be to do AWD launches with it. But with that extra $ saved I could upgrade it to an LT w/leather instead of an LS...

Decisions! Oh well plenty of time to decide, just read today there is a production delay due to a supplier not heat treating axle internals. Gave the pre-production trucks a bad rear whine. So IIRC they will be on the streets in either November or January.

They are a bit too small and get bad gas milage. Id rather hvae a tahoe and a weekend car. but i think they are AWESOME, and if i was smaller:o

they're awesome. if i had kids, or the need for another large vehicle, i would definately be checking one out.

I'd go for AWD. It'll be slower but it will be more useful during the winter.

Anything car related gets moved out of bng. GM stuff goes here. GM vs. other automakers goes in the other car corner forum.

Cool if its the same. I'd much rather have this than the lame/expensive SSR.

SSR is for looks and such, it's not supposed to be practical. this is practical.

SSR does look good but for $50k, no thanks. Just give me a C6.

I would rather have seen GM invest in a Colorado SS w/ an LS2.

I think I will start saving up a downpayment now. Put down about 10k on it. It would make for a nice daily and occasional track driver. If it doesn't come with 4.10's then it will be getting them.

The TB SS will be my next LSX powered vehicle :yup: Oh, and the must have 4wd with the M6

I did not see this m6 option either on Chevy's website for the Trailblazer SS nor KBB.com

It does come with 4.10's though.

I believe there are some in some magazines and on the web. It is suppose to be nice with a suade middle section or something like that so you dont slide around.
