Pontiacs are more exciting

Notice how the Pontiac forum has close to 20,000 posts and the other forums seem almost abandoned? I find that people who own Pontiacs are more interesting and are bigger enthusiasts about their cars.

let me tell you - i'd pick almost any pontiac compared to the '00 vette we had. you want to talk about build quality??? that car had as many squeeks and rattles as my '89 has (which hopefully i'll be welding on my sfc to that car this weekend :cool: ) yea i like the vettes, but i'd take 2 firebirds compared to a vette anyday if we want to compare what you get for the $$$.

I love my Firebird and all, and trust me I have not meet to many hottie's driving to many firebirds or trans am's. Some girls are miss out when thay bought a mustang. And I could not see me driving anything but a pontiac.

I was talking with a C3 Vette owner at a rest area a couple years ago. He came over and looked my Formula over pretty good, he was even checking out the under side of my bird. He stood up and said "looks like you have some goodies under there" I told him what all I had done to it, he said he would rather have my bird than a new Vette. I like C5 & C6's but it's nice to have a back seat, and not have a car payment that's like a mortgage payment.

I have had a lot of people say they would rather own my WS6 than a vette. I can't think of many other four seat cars they would say that about. Mustang? Nope. Acura? Nooo. G35? Definitely not.

although i will say i see a LOT of influnce in the firebird from the vette. look at the c5 vette hood - pontiac just exagerated those ridges to form the ws6 hood. the vette is sleek looking, and is made as a slightly expensive sports car. the firebird is right on the middle ground, good looks and performance. imo - nothing on the road looks badass, mean, and powerful compared to the look of a ws6 firebird. and they have the power to back it up. in '98 when i got my bird - i remember driving it around and EVERYONE on the roads would look and check me out as i drove by. new body style on the road back then yes - but even non-fans had to look at that mean ass car. :cool:

Seeing kids stare at my car as I drive by is the greatest thing ever. Same thing I did :yup: I still get ton of people craning their necks when I drive around :yup: I think the 4th gen TA and 'maros will live on as a timeless design.
