I went 11.845 at 114.76 with a 1.654 60ft on Friday night at kcir.
My mods are:
Stock bottem end
LE heads w/ valves (274/195)
VERY SMALL Joe Overton cam (~220/226)
3.73's and 3000 stall
long tubes
telstars w/ et streets/skinnies
Back seats/front sway bar removed
and all the little things
I was pretty happy with the times. I went with a really small cam so I can build a sleeper, and through the stock muffler you can't hear it lope at all with it idled up a little. I've only been down the track 8 times in my life, so I should have room for improvement, plus I'll be hitting up a track that's actually prepped next time. I dyno'd it at 384/363 last week with just a base tune and since then I've gained 3.6mph at the track. Bryan from pcmforless is doing my tuning for me and he's doing a great job so far. I'd like to thank Lloyd and Joe for helping me get a matched setup that runs strong.

Thats an impressive time for such a small cam. Joe Overton really seems to know how to get the most out of these motors.

8 times running, and you've already got a stellar short time. Congrats on your run.

Lloyd has head/cam packages now ranging from 1100-1600. My heads have rev valves in them and are his top notch heads. We flowed them locally and the #'s were correct. 972-617-5671 is #, just give him a call.

With that kind of pwr and weight reduction I would think you could run 11.6s with traction

At sea level and a good DA it'll go 11.6's no problem. I'm going to try for 11.6's here at our other local track, that actually preps the track. ;) This run was also off rev limiter in first so I know it has more in it.

dude that's freaking awesome, congrats.
Hey where can I learn more about "DA"? few Sundays back the big dawgs were complaining about their mid 11 cars running 12s and DA was mentioned a few times. Isn't it something along the lines of barometric pressure, absolute dewpoint, humidity, etc etc?

hummm would the motor hold up to a 100 shot or owuld that tend to break stuff like a crank or ords at that power level? If it could hold it what would it run?
Basically i wanna know if iwth spray that combo could go 10s on a stock short block???

I am actually very impressed with that combo, most guys have problems breaking 12.40 on a similar combo with the stock casting ported. Good et's from that combo, probably has a .50 in it with the right tune and a lil better short time
