We can eventually copy/paste the info posted here in a new thread. I think one of the more well known Tech mods should start the thread. Someone whos been there, done that. Lets face it. We don't need a guy with a Mazda and a ferret having a FAQ Tech thread. :o

Cam Guide Info & FAQ


The purpose of this thread is to help you better understand how cams work and also how to select the best cam for your setup. There are many aftermarket cams to choose from and sometimes its hard to make a choice which one to purchase. We hope to make this selection process easier by explaining the different characteristics of cams and how they affect performance. Please read everything provided so that you can make a decision based on education rather than hearsay. If you have a goal of lets say 420 RWHP, don't just look at cars making that much power and run the same cam thinking you will get there also. Take into consideration the entire setup the car has and what was involved to get it to that level. The cam is but 1 piece of the puzzle so make sure that the rest of your setup is matched correctly so that you get the most performance from your time and money spent.
