I've always had some back pain, but it seems like ever since I got my T/A it's gotten worse. I've played with the lumbar support and different seat positions, but no matter what I do, my back kills everytime I get out of it.

:hmm: No, actually the seats in my TA feel way better then any other car I own..
On the other hand, Never drive an extended period of time with you wallet in your pack pocket.. Talk about a pain in the ass...

Never had a problem in any of the LS1 T/A's I've owned. The back support is just right for me and I actually find the seats very comfortable. On the other hand, I would have back pain after at least an hour driving the 01 SS that I used to have.

:true: First thing I do before I open the door is take the wallet out of my back pocket.

Often times after my back hurts from work, I love getting into my car, makes my back feel so much better. I have the lower back lumbar fully inflated and ususally the side lumbar as well. :yup:

I agree with everyone else. My T/A seats are extremely comfortable. The longest drive I've ever made in the car at once was 3 hours, but that was totally comfrotable.
I also agree with the removing of the wallet before sitting down thing! :D

In my case I had 2 comfortable 12 hour, 770 mile days of driving my WS6 from Billings, MT to Detroit last August with my wallet in my back pocket. You guys must have the George Costanza model wallets.
If I had your back problems I'd have an upholstery shop add and reconfigure the padding in the seat.

I've gone down and back twice from Pittsburgh to Atlanta something like 680 miles 10-11 hours. Felt great all the way...

LOL, its funny you mention that because just this past weekend, my dad was commenting on my wallet being a George Costanza wallet. Mine is pretty thick, but then a friend of a friend that was nearby pulled his out and it was MONSTROUS! :D

My back gets sore from my seats after a while, but Formulas don't have the lumbar adjustment. Wish I had it. I carry my wallet in my side pocket so I never have to worry.

Your not the only one whose back hurts sitting in the seat for extended periods of time. After a 30 min drive to work my back is unconfortable. If you move the lumbar and bolsters out as far as they go that seems to make it more tolorable. Then again it sucks being 6'4" sitting in a seat design for someone who is 5'6". The adjustments hit you so low that they hurt.

If you are 6'4", I can see why you have trouble.:(

Rookie road trippers! I have degenertive disc, I'm 41, 6'-1" and don't have lumbar adjustment and I can go long distance driving without pain, as long as I put my wallet in the console. The wallet can give me the old pinched nerve feeling in my back after a couple hours of driving. I drove straight to Daytona 995 miles, no pain. I think the longest I've gone non stop was to the Badlands in South Dakota with only a 20 min. nap in Wisconsin that was 1250 miles before getting a room on the way to westen Montana. The road trip we took in July covered 5500 miles, but the longest we went without stopping for the night was Shelby, Iowa to home 770 miles. You just have to have your ass in condition and take your wallet out of your back pocket. I rolled over to 98000 miles last night ;)
