What is your car idling at? Your computer should adjust the idle or are you talking about base idle with the IAC motor off? If your looking for base idle unhook your IAC and there is a screw on the back of your throttle body that you adjust to aprox 550rpm with out the IAC pluged in. LIke i said before computer should adjust though unless your IAC motor is bad.

THe IAC can also get dirt built up in it. Start the car and hold it to about 1200-1500 rpm and spray carb cleaner through the IAC port in your throttle body.

Most chilton/haynes manuals have a procedure to set the base idle. It requires that you jumper two pins on the ALDL with the car off to allow the IAC to extend all the way out and then disconnect it extended start the car and adjust the IAC.
