I bought my bird last July, it came with a steering wheel tilt lever that has 90% of the threads worn off. Any suggestions for a replacement cause the only thing I can do with the original is try to cut new threads onto it. No junkyards have been able to help me.

I think I'm a bit confused.. Are you referring to the steering wheel moving up and down on it's own without locking in one spot? Or are you just talking about the lever just unscrewing from the column?

I would think its the turn signal ,the threads are worn down.

The steering wheel is locked in one place, I can't screw the lever back into the column in order to tilt it up or down, the lever has no threads left on it. It seems minor but wait until it happens to you, it stinks.

Okay I understand, you most likely will have to replace that part that has the stripped threads in it.
