Not sure if you guys know but we have a GMC Sierra Performace Edition coming next month.
1500 2WD Ext. Cab
345hp 6.0L V8 w/HD 4 speed auto.
20 inch wheels
Sport Suspension
6.0 HO badging
The truck can be ordered in SLE or SLT trim and are extended cab 2wd only. MSRP should be considerably less than the Silverado SS since this is a 2WD truck. They are only availabe in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisianna. Maybe we'll see a Reg. Cab version next year.

This is a factory option package. I have a few pics of the truck that I saw in person. The suspension is lower than the standard supsension. Nice truck and finally they got smart and made it 2wd. I want what's under the hood though.;)
The 20's in that pic are GM wheels but they have to be ordered through the parts dept. and are pretty expensive.

I also heard that this truck may be a Texas exclusive.

Are they ever going to make a single cab performance truck? Ford and Dodge are doing it.. Whats wrong with Chevy

Chevy sucks in a few areas. Marketing is definately one of them.

Yea, I looked the other day too and couldn't find it. That is why I was asking if it was a dealer package.

I placed our 1st order for one today. I may buy this one so I ordered it in Marine Blue since this is the last year for that color. :(
They are available in SLE trim only(1SC Pkg.). No leather! Doesn't bother me because I like the cloth better.
Looks like all SLE options are available in this truck except for heavy duty trailering pkg. So no receiver hitch. I'll let you guys know more when I hear it.

There also a "Limited Edition" Sierra. It's the same setup as the Performance Edition except it has the 5.3 liter and trailering pkg. It's also INDIGO BLUE(39u) and this is the only truck you can get that color on. I always liked Indigo Blue.
It will have the same sport suspension and 20's as the PE.

That truck should do good for the Chevy market! With the 6.0L it will have alot of potential, put some bolt on mods and a stall mid to low 14's should be no prob at all :D

Not as good as you think. They are only available for order in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Maybe it will go national next year.

Well hopefully they will do good in the south so it will go national. I live in Louisiana and there is a good # of the exspensive SS trucks runnin around, so surely they will do good around here.

Just got confirmation that they CAN be ordered with leather in SLT trim. First one is being built the week of 3/22. I can't wait to see it and drive it.

Pricing is in.
Performance Package MSRP is $2850.
I have 4 trucks with this pkg. incoming. The 1st one is equipped as follows.
2004 GMC Sierra Performance Edition
Ext. Cab 2WD SLE
40/20/40 split bench seat w/ power drvr. seat
Tx/Ok/La equipment pkg.
Cd/Cass.
Steering Wheel Radio Ccontrols with DIC

Not bad since a 5.3 V8 with the same equipment will only be about $800 less.
