drivers seat

the side bolsters on the drivers side seat deflate on thier own over a unknown period of time (dont notice it all the time but it only takes prolly an hour or so), are they supposed to do that or do I have a leak somewhere that would most likely be easy to fix

i don't ahve power seats on my 4th gen... but i believe most cars use air to inflate the bolsters. so yes - you may have a leak. i think some cars just move the bolsters instead of filling them with air, some use both methodes.

get under the seat and check the hoses and the connections. my '89 has the air pump under the driver seat. hoses run from that to each seat. the hoses are small - like air hoses you'd use in a fish tank. they just slip on plastic connectors on the seats.

I never heard that happening before thanks for the heads up.I believe mine isnt air operated.

Mine do the same thing. There are air bladders for all the lumbar (side and lowerback) in our cars. The pump is under the pass. seat. I need to take mind out and see if I can find the leak. Best way to do it would be to inflate the system and spray the tubes with soapy water and see where it bubbles.
