this kid showed me a time slip saying that his car ran a 12.9....hes got a 97 TA with a catback.... and supposedly he ran on drag radials..... all bull like i think right?

unless its a factory freak on a very well hooking track chances (keyword) are no, but there are M6 LS1s that run 12.9 with radials

although I wouldnt be surprised if someone said they hit low 13s with drag radials on a near stock LT1

yeah..... ive seen near stock ls1s with drag radials run 12.7s.....but never an lt1....most of the lt1s i see that run on street tires with little bolt ons only do like mid high 13s..... im gonna run this kid at the track tuesday..... haha but he'll probably chicken out.... talks mad smack on me.... :D

I had a friend run a 13.1 with nothing more than a stall, cai, and as&m catback on drag radials. If he has more than the catback I see it being possible.

I had AS&M headers, SLP ram air hood and intake and a magnaflow muffler and ran 13.55 @108/107/107. To go 6/10 faster would be almost unbelievable with just a cat-back.
