That is actually a picture of a newer truck motor coming out and not the LS2. That picture was posted on LS1tech and was proved not to be the LS2 heads.

thought about that after i posted that, thats the ls7 right?

vette motor is still 16 valve?

just did a quickie search on google.. thats what it gave me, my bad

That's a new generation truck motor with 3 valve heads and displacement on demand. It should make it's way into SUV's and pickups in the near future.

i read that the ls7 (that 3 valve engine i posted pics of) will be in the next version z06. .. still cant find info on the dang ls2 but its of course the base 05 vette engine at 400hp

I've also heard that one. The highlights are supposed to be 6.4L, 3 valve heads, 500HP. However, the engine pictured IS a truck engine. Don't think that's the LS7.

probably still cheaper then Fords mod motors.

And if all the info is right, this is what I have

LS7
7.0 Liter
~500hp
~500torque
3valve heads with twin cams inside the block using VVT technology. Rev limit will reach 7k I belive. Chances are this motor will be hand built in the new engine plant for special engines. Price of a Z06 will reach 60k probably. Still best bang for the buck. Weight will come down to a shade above 3k.
