MY car has developed a stumble...how great. It only occurs atfer driving it for like 10-15 minutes when it is warmed up to about 190 degrees. It will slowly develope too, like the stumble won't be too bad, but then eventually it will turn really bad, then violently making the car jerk forward, then after a while it will die. I have replaced the Battery, PCV and fuel filter, but otherwise it is stock. It only has 25K miles as well. On another note, it has been sitting for 7 months, and did something like this last year, only it wasn't as bad as it is this year. I added some heat to try to take the moisture out of the gas. What are some things I should check? I have new plug wires, but I need to cut them to length and didn't want to cut them till I installed my headers.

Did you put any stabilizers in the gas before you stored it? Scary stuff man, I couldn't imagine using gas that sits in my tank for that long

Dunno. Mines always been a little grumpy after sitting for months. This time I took it straight to the gas station and filled it up with 92 octane. So far it's run perfect. After filling up, I hit the interstate and ran it in 5th/70 mph 20 or so miles to "break it in".

Well, it isn't the gas. I tried the o2's, thats not it. Vacume leaks I would be able to hear. It starts at 210 degrees almost exactly. My Thermo then opens at around 220-225, and cools it back down to about 190, where it runs fine. What is the operating temp of my car? I'm hoping it is a faulty Thermostat that is openig to late. Do you think making it over heat like that (if that is overheating) would make it stumlbe?

be very careful and make sure when you cut them, you do it right. I installed my headers and i fried a plug wire and it fried my ignition module which was $72. And shortly after my opti went with it. but my car shook violently also and it was cause the opti was bad.

take your ignition module off and get it tested. try that

It cleared up...I had it scanned, and everything was fine. I think it might have been a combo of stale gas, condensation, and carbon build up :dunno:
