2600 miles later we are in Huntington Beach, CA. We did every mile with the t-tops out, even leaving Las Vegas with the temp at 105 degeees. The gas prices are staggering out here $2.73 gal. for 91 octane in Irvine.

I've seen five Bently's since I've been here, and the gas price depends on the hood your in it seems, Laguna $2.87 for 91 oct. The bird is missing it's 93-94 octane it gets at home. We head back early Wednesday first stop the Grand Canyon. The car is doing well, lowest gas mileage has been 23 mpg best has been just under 29 mpg not bad for 4:11's, and most of the time going 80+ mph. We have had the tops out all the way only had to drive thru a few rain drops.:D

5,500 miles and 9 states later, we made it home.
Route 66 somewhere in Arizona, this was a very interesting stop.

Grand Canyon, Arizona. Canyon was a bit smokey due to fires on the northern rim. We stayed just outside the national park and since there was only one gas station for miles, 91 octane was $3.19 a gal.

We didn't stay as long as planned in SoCal, my Dad was being a complete asshole so we had all we could stand of him by Monday.
That was the only bad part of the trip, dealing with his mental issues.

Damn, that's a sharp Firehawk! Nothing better then a clean black car. I've had a couple black trucks and they're a bitch to keep clean, so I ordered a dark blue car that's a bitch to keep clean.:eyes:
I spent some time in Newport Beach when I was twenty-something, and I've seen some stunning California girls.:drool2:

I always thought I would like to live in Colorado, North Carolina is a favorite also, California is too congested and exspensive for me, but you can't beat the weather.

There are many parts of SoCal that are not as congested. We live 10 mintues from downtown LA in a small town of 35k people. Everything shuts down at 9pm...but we have a large city right next to us, etc. But yes, it is very expensive :(

Thanks, it was an awesome trip. We can't seem to find one of our memory cards, it has the better pic's of Rocky MT NP. We took a one lane unpaved road (Old Fall River Road) from Estes Park to the Alpine Visitors Center, which is what you see in some of the pictures I posted that is above the timber line. When I find that card I'll post some of those, as soon as I get my album on photobucket sorted out I'll post a link for those of you who want to see more.

We still haven't turned up the 128mb card. Why keep it in the camera bag?
These are from a disposable camera.
Rocky Mt. National Park,CO. The first picture shows the snow poles and take a look at that curve sign coming up.

Denise found the missing memory card. The new pic's are the first eight pages in Photobucket. The pictures are of Rocky Mountain National Park and western Colorado and a few in Utah. We took alot of the pic's on Fall River road, a one way dirt road from just outside Estes Park to The Alpine Visitors Center about 12,000 feet above sea level.
