I'm doing a cam soon and while the valve covers are off, I was thinking of upgrading to Yella Terra 1.7's. Do you guys think it would be worth it? I plan on doing heads later and am going to be running a large cam for now.

Thanks,
Dave

there not needed but if you have the money i'd pick them up or the new harland sharp rockers, they look very pimp and come int at a great price of 350 or less. rockers are something that you can install anytime anyway, its not like its that hard, but if you doing a cam swap theres no easier time.

New rockers arent a bad idea, but the Yella Terras are expensive and supposedly need to be clearanced in most applications.

If youre on the fence about getting new rockers, perhaps you should look into the new Harland Sharp rockers. Theyre about half the price of Yella Terras, theyre a full roller shaft mounted aluminum rocker, and last I checked, you could get a set of them for the LS1 for about $340. They come in 1.7 and 1.8 ratios.

Since we don't have any sponsors here yet, check over on www.ls1tech.com and look in their Sponsor and GP section. Nasty Performance just ran a GP on them, and although the GP is over, theyre selling them for the price I mentioned.

Edit: I did not read jrp's post before I posted mine, so it looks like we both think alike! :D

as far as performance not much. the YT/HS are true roller rockers unlike the stock roller tip rockers. aftermarket ones are stronger and more reliable then the stockers, no more needle bearing miss haps.

im gonna pick up some HS myself soon

Unless something different comes along and sways my mind, I will have a set of the HS rockers by the end of this season.

Do those need to be adjusted? Or are they just bolt on? Thanks - Patrick :D
