I was considering having my calipers and brackets powder coated, and maybe I'd just buy a new caliper/bracket set so the car wouldn't be down for long.

I figured I'd look up the part numbers on my firebird/camaro PDF... I pull it up, and there's 2 sets of parts, the J65 and the normal/non-J65. I have the J65 RPO code, so I was looking at those.

The problem is, after looking at the part #'s there, the numbers on the CD/PDF don't match the parts on the car. I have a 2002 WS6, the actual part on the car for the front right bracket is 18023851. The PDF shows 12456459. I know I'd obviously order the part that matches the part number on the car, but why don't the numbers match? They don't match for the front bracket or housing, and I couldn't find numbers on the rear.

Sorry if this seems like a dumb situation, I'm just a little bothered that I might have ordered the wrong parts if I hadn't doublechecked on what was on the car.

Anybody got a clue why the numbers don't match? Am I looking in the wrong place in the PDF? I'm at a loss on what to order for the rear bracket and housing.

does the PDF cover 93-02? Those #'s might be for 93-97 parts.

I thought J65 was rear discs. 93-97 V6 f-bodies had drums standard. That's what made me  you weren't only looking at 98-02 parts listings, and I think that's where your problem lies.
