My contribution in case it hasn't carried over or been remedied by GM...
Checfk your rubber fuel line on the left side if the engine. Originally (98/99) it rested on one of the studs that attaches the spark unit on over the plugs.
Over time - this can wear thru the rubber fuel line and result in a fire.
Simple remedy - add a rubber cap over the top of the screw/stud it rests on.
