How much was everything? Gears? Install? Recal?

I personally have 3.73's and like them. I think they are the best combination of off the line acceleration and highway crusing. Original 3.42's @70mph had me at about 1,500 rpm and now I am at about 1,700. Not too bad. But as stated for the way it makes you pull one of the best bangs for the buck. I walked a friend of mine with my mods (not much I know) and he had LT's with 3.42's though.

the 4:10's are awesome if you have the right setup to make the car stick if not and your a person like me who does alot of daily driving then i would go with the 3:73's;)

I'm serious about prices. I'm getting gears in March. What did everyone pay?

Gears are around 200. The install kit around 100. Then if you have someone install them which is probably the best idea its around 2-400 dollars. Then you need a way to recalibrate your speedo, a used hypertech 150. All together its gonna run you 750 or so. Or you could swap a compatible rearend like I did. Got a 4.10 rearend with TCS and ABS for $350 and just swapped them out! Good luck!:D

:stupid: I swapped my stocker with a guy that had 3.73's for $250 and did it my self. Otherwise you just need to start asking around with the local shops or one that is within a reasonable driving distance.:drive:

You can find some shops that will setup the rear gears for pretty cheap. My guy did an awesome job and charged less than 100$
and he's not known for being terribly cheap.
4.10s rule!
3.73s wouldn't be enough of a change to be worth the effort in a M6 at least.

Sorry about the late reply. I got a deal at thunder racing. I got gears, install kit, 2qts of gear oil, posi fluid, ta guridle, and ta stud kit for $417 shipped:) I had the speedo fixed to read correctly for $100 and had the gears installed for another $ 100. Total $617 out the door! I think i saved the most money on the install. I hope this helps.

I have had 4.10s on my M6 for a while now. Traction is ok as long as you know how to handle it:D
