Got tired of looking at the single outlet on my 98 SS. My sister complimenting me on how quiet it was rubbed salt in the wound. :(

Hardest part was getting the old system off, especially the band clamp on the intermediate pipe. I had my nephew helping so it went slower as I was schooling the boy on the ways of musclecars. 4 hrs.

Fit was excellent, especially on the over axle 3" pipe. They got the bend right. No rattles. The dual outlets sit exactly right, nicely paralleling the line of the lower edge of the rear quarter panel when viewed from the side.

As far as the sound, it's pretty much what I'd heard: almost as quiet as stock at idle, nice rumble during normal driving, excellent throaty roar at WOT. No rasp, no drone at freeway cruise speeds.

I've only had it on a few days and have already gotten lots of compliments. Went to visit my sister; when I left her neighbor said it sounded great and asked that I hammer it when I took off. I of course complied. :drive:

Suggestion: they include u-bolt clamps with the kit, which is ok, except for the intermediate to Y junction. Band clamp would be lots better there. I plan on installing one my next weekend. Anyone know who carries them, Autozone, Pep Boys?

You can reuse the factory band clamp for that connection. The guy at the muffler shop that installed mine cut off the one tack weld holding it to the stock pipe. It took a little bit of finesse but he got it off and worked fine on the new system.

Yeah, I don't think there is a better CB for the money.
