1300 shot of nitrous?

I was told by someone that they had a 1300 shot of nitrous on their street car......i was like :bs: :bs: but is it possible?

In all seriousness though, I have heard of a few Pro Street cars running 2 and 3 stage 1000hp+ shots. I have yet to see one but I'm sure that they are out there. Do they spray all that on the street? Not likley. :)

The most Ive ever actually ever seen was a fully proffesionally built motor with a 600 shot(300 wet 300 dry two stage)

LS1 or LT1 never. There are some pro-mod guys running 1000+ shots. I seem to remember hearing that there were a few people running around 1200 shots. If people can run twin t101's or bigger turbos then they can run huge shots of nitrous. Twin 101's on a Kenny Dutweiler Motor were making 2500hp and the motor dynoed 1080 N/A so it is possible. But, it is a setup that will never see the street.

Exactly. Many cars in Pro-Am run that much nitrous without a problem at all. These cars would never be run on the street by any means and certainly not on the juice.

317indy: Compression has nothing to do with the amount of nitrous you can fire at an engine assuming it's built to handle the ultimate power level. Higher compression just means you need to move to an "exotic" race fuel is all... which you would be at these power levels anyway.

Hmm... maybe they meant their system could flow that much nitrous and weren't actually meaning what it can handle.

Hell my system can flow an insane amount of nitrous, but my engine would be in pieces long before the solenoids / secondary fuel system maxed out.

i read an article about a guy with a WS6 that was running a 300 shot...............it was a built motor and he was pulling 10s at like 160 mph :eek:

a 300 shot on an LS1 is fairly common now and the et's are getting inot the 9's but now where near 160, more like 130-140.

Higher compression also allows you to run a bigger can with more duration and less overlap, it makes up the diff.

Thats why big cams say they require high comp.

1st of all those Solenoids will NOT flow 1200 shot
2nd of all the Nozzle's DEFFINATLY wont flow that much, and
3rd a single stage 1200 shot would blow the tires off most any race chassis

i work on the quickest legel n2o car in the land and theres no way in hell 8 nozzles can flow 1200hp we need to use 24 of them
