Thought you guys might find this interesting.
Probably one of the fastest tracks in the country.
I also have my doubts of it being completely stock, being it is an SLP car. But who knows.
Good numbers either way.:D

i run at that track where they claimed to have run that time.
i dont think that time is out of the question but id like to know more details.
a GTO and a mach appear to be comparable cars after all though.

The auto's even seem pretty close. If you go to the first page of the link, they have times for an Auto GTO running 13.6 at 102mph. Thats about the same as the auto mach1's, maybe a tick or two faster.
I think the mach is a bit faster 5spd vs 6spd but a GTO in a skilled drivers hands can certainly give it a race, and run some good times for a 3800lb car.:D

apparently mm@ff got a 13.5 out of an auto mach 1 recently.
i think the two cars are fairly evenly matched.a mach is lighter but a GTO has considerably more HP.
a GTO motor with an m6 has z06 gearing.it also has a different cam for better low end power.factory duals was a nice touch too.
they seem to trap similarly which is an indicator these cars will run neck and neck.

I wish there was some way they could make the GTO lighter! They would really get up without some of the extra poundage!

holden is going to the VZ chassis later this year I belive. If thats the case, the VZ is stiffer, but lighter.

That couldn't have been stock....
It's ~ 500 pound heavier than a C5, makes the same power and yet is JUST AS QUICK????
Upper 13s is a realistic "catch all" ET for the new GTO. I have no problem with that, since it's still THE FASTEST STOCK GTO EVER MADE!!!!

its not as fast as a C5.
the ls1 in GTOs are different from past ones.changes are minor but enough that it makes more power under the peak.these #s are believeable from this car.
