Now that there is a classic forum, let's see your classic GM musclecars / trucks. More detail, the better.

I've got a 72 Cheyenne Super. The original 350 has never been out of the truck. It's still the original paint. It is approaching 450,000 miles. Yes that is correct it has rolled the odometer 4 times and the motor has never been out. It has had maintenance, timing chain, water pump etc. But the heads have never been off. Yes it still runs, no it doesn't smoke like a mesquito truck. Yes it is time restore it.
Right now it looks like the truck from Sanforda & Son. I plan to start working on it this summer.

That thing looks like a beast. What are the specs? Oh, and you're required by name to post the obligatory semi-nws picture along with any other pics you post. PG-13 in this forum will suffice. :D j/k.

65 Olds 442 Holiday Coupe.
Fremont CA built automatic car. Originally Target Red with black vinyl buckets. Solid is they come, sat in desert for 22 years. Bought it in January and itching to get to it.

Here is the '78 WS6 I owned a few years back. It was only a 403/automatic, but it was a California car with only 35K miles. The car was originally Martinique Blue, but had been repainted white by a previous owner :dunno: and the decals were replaced with '79 decals. I regret having to sell it, but I will own another '78 WS6 someday--hopefully a Martinique Blue W72 4-speed.

Thanks, I love all Classic Cars. I have some friends with NICE 442's, Chevelle's, GTO's, and AMC's. There's not too many Buicks in San Jose, CA. I've seen a few, but not many.

Not many here either. I can think of one in paticular. It's a GS with GSX badging on it. It's a very nice clone. Other than that I can't say that I've seen any.

It has GSX spoilers. No GSX emblems. The car is a Factory stage1. The spoilers add that extra "omph" :p that the car really needed. This car is not a clone GSX. If it was, I would have the stripes on the hood and the side. I can easily pull the spoilers off and keep it stock.

Yup Buicks are a rare find in San Jose. Where abouts are you up there? When i'm in town, I'm usually in Los Gatos(parents). I grew up in that area, and now am at school in LA.

LOL I couldn't remember all the details. I just remember it being a sweet car that needed bigger brakes. (remembering one night at Kellers) It's been a while since I've been up there. Maybe well see you up there again this summer. ;)
EDIT: I just realized your location in in CA. Are you the same person that used to hang out at Kellers?

I'm about 15 minutes away from Los Gatos. Very Close. Just take Saratoga Ave to Highway 9 and I'm there.

True  . I agree 100%. Just after I got it painted I got in to a small fender-bender that took a bunch of paint off the front bumper :( . At the time, I didn't have the money to re-paint it and I couldn't stand looking at my fresh paint job that was ruined. Bra= cheap fix, then I bought my '99 and it got put on the back burner. I'll have more pics when its done.

Clean 70 Chevelle. The emblems are a bit misleading, and you may need a rollbar soon.

I used to be a regular up in the Landscatter area. I don't recall ever seeing your car up there before. I used to spend my allowance at R&E Racing on Sierra Highway when I had my Mustang.

I ran it 10-15 times when I first got it for the first year or 2 so that would be 99 or 2000 if I recall correctly on friday nights or wednesday nights. Have to go look at my slips. I hit a 13.5 once and couldn't ever get it to run that again. I ran a slew of 14 flats after that....damn near bracket raceable. I don't take her out anymore, she's in storage. :(
For some reason it seemed like in order to get any decent help to R&E you had to be butt buddies with the guys that worked there. I did most of my ordering with summit and wrenched on the car myself.
I hail from Palmdale to be specific, didn't travel out to lancaster much to be honest.

Sorry... I can not find pictures of my cars. I have a '69 Firebird Coupe and a '70 1/2 Camaro RS.
I am in the process of restoring the Firebird first. I am starting with the rear first and having to buy new repro quarter panels. Actually, I am buying all new fenders and quarters and restoring without bondo. If I can find fiberglass front fenders I will be happy. I can only find a one piece front end although.
As far as a motor, I have a fresh 454 that needs to be built. I may go 496 to start out with. Yet I do not know. I have two sets of Pontiac and Chevy combinations Pontiac 350/TH350, Pontiac 400/TH400, Chevy LT1-350/TH350, and a Chevy 454/th400. I am probably going to build the 454 first, just to have it done ;). Which vehicle I put it in is another question though. HeHe...
Anyway, enough with my life story. I am also glad to see a classic/musclecar section here. See you at the track . :drive:
