I've been hearing how its hurting alot of new cars performance( GTO, vette, new stang). Can someone explain exactly what it is and what it does.
Is this gonna keep being a problem for new performance cars?

On my specific application(2000 truck), it cuts a few degrees of timing during "abusive" maneuvers or WOT shifts.
Abusive maneuvers may entail something such as dropping it in gear at a higher rpm, reverse to first, etc.
I believe it's designed to prolong drivetrain life :dunno:
