CTS-V, tell me pros and cons

Ok...so as some of you know my father has a 98 Viper GTS and yesterday i took him for a spin in my buddies 2005 E55 AMG Mercedes which has 469hp stock. He fell in love with it. He also drove the car and couldnt believe how fast it was for having 4 doors and how comfortable it is. For the first time hes considering selling the Viper and purchasing a car like the E55.

We cant afford even a used 2003 E55 so i guess the only other option would be a CTS-v. The M3s arent fast enough, and the old M5s are looking dated. Can anyone give me a lot of insight on the CTS-V please. :help:

Is it? the M3 has 333hp and the caddy has 400hp. What are the times on the car? The M3 is nice but i think it was cool 4 years ago when it came out. Besides, the new M3 body style is around the corner:(

He didnt take me when we raced on algonquin:p I edged him out slightly and his car is governed at 155:D

I love the CTS V's, however I see an awful lot of them, believe it or not. I thought they would be rare.

We dont have to many down here, I just bought mine last Friday and there was a 2001 E55 AMG for 36K which was cheaper than my V.

The 2001 E55s are W210s, the older version. The 02-06 E55s are the W211s with the 470 HP 5.5L V8. The W210s were N/A and only produced 370 HP IIRC.

Go drive a CTS-v. I have spent some time in one on the highway and at autocross. That car is one sweet piece!! Once on the highway, a 2004 Z06 and me put the hammer down and it was mirror to mirror. At autocross, it does very well. as long as you can keep the rear tires from smoking. It is a true four door vette! You can find them with low miles for 40k.
