Check out these pics of the crack that developed in my Magnaflow muffler.

Notice the black line that I drew to represent the length of the crack, look about 1in above it, and you will see the lengthy crack that has developed. It appears that the weld bead was not layed in the correct place, and did not overlap correctly. In the other pic, the crack is between the 2 studs of the muffler clamp, where the metal is roled over the edge. I have called Magnaflow and they already have me a complete new cat-back on its way to me. Very nice guys to deal with. This system is about a year old, I dont know how long the cracks have been there, I only noticed them about a month ago.

I have no doubts about thier quality as mine is the ONLY case I have heard of this happening. I know the human element can cause downfalls in all areas of manufacturing. This is not ment to slam Magnaflow in any way, because we all know they make a good product, and its even more of a testament to them that they stand behind thier product so firmly. They shipped me a new catback today, that way I wouldn't have to be driving around with no exhaust. They told me to put my old system in the box, and they would send out a UPS man to pick it up from my house so that I would not have to hastle with shipping. Cant ask for any better service than that.

That sucks but good thing is you spent good money in the begining so that if this did happen you would get a replacement.

That really sucks that your muffler cracked open like that. I'm very happy to know that they stood behind the product like that though. I'm pleased with my Magnaflow catback. At least you know you'll be getting a brand new one soon!
