POLL: Take off the Ground Effects?

SS Hood is going on the car this weekend, and the SS spoiler is on it's way. I had a thread on ls1.com about this but there are prob. some ppl over here who haven't seen it so Vote Away. I personally don't care for any of the ground effects kits produced for the Camaro. They never flow correctly and in my opinion, ruin the beautiful, smooth lines of the car. The SS hood will look agressive, those ground effects do not.

I voted to take them off, here's why:
I think they take away from the sleekness of the car.
They won't blend very well with the new hood and spoiler.
They make the car look "fat" or heavy.
Since, the car is lowered, it won't have the 4x4 without them, so need for them.

Just my opinion.

I voted take them off. I think it just ruins the lines of the car. Good call on the hood/spoiler :thumbup: I don't like the current one at all.

Maybe the rear section could stay. I'd need to see better pics of it, but it kinda looks like the SLP CME fascia from the side. Of course you can always just add the hood/spoiler and see how it looks.

If it looks funny then (and it probably will), yank 'em off.

The SS hood will look badass on that color! Anyone ever seen an SS in that color? Didn't think so!!

I'd say take off the GFX. They make a sleek car look bloated, saggy, heavy, and droopy. The normal lines of a Camaro are perfect just as they are and should not be messed with.

BTW, the car will be SO SEXY with that hood and spoiler on. I'll just cream myself.

I think you should keep them... The ground effects make camaros look awesome in my opinion. I would DEFINATLY keep them. I personally am buying a hood for my Z and my ground effects are staying right where they are. Just my opinion, but I think the camaro (non lowered) whithout ground effects looks like its meant for trails.

I think you should leave the ground effects on. You don't see nearly as many camaro's with the factory kit on a you do without..........I like it.

I have never liked ground effects :barf:. Sometimes I wish I could even take off the stock ones on my T/A...but I guess that is what the Formula's are for. Anyway, Camaro's are clean looking cars and the effects detract from that...I think it makes the car look shorter and less like the lean, mean speed machine it is! Forgeta aboutum!

I have the factory GFX and have had soooo many compliments about the car. I'm not fond of the rear spoiler but the front dam and side skirts are:cool: .

If you do get rid of the kit, please let me know if you'd like to rid yourself of the front piece. I have the factory part and the gap in the middle is driving me nuckin' futz!:D
With the SS spoiler it's gonna look baddass! I'd go with the RS rear spoiler like the Z-28's (but I'm prejudiced (lol).
Don't forget about the shit load of holes you'll need to repair if you remove them:(

I'm sure its gonna look fantastic whatever you decide (I love the color), but I voted KEEP "EM".

my opinion....first off leave the ground fxs on...they look so badass....secondly the z06 rims look god damn awesome....third, i love the front grill, it is a nice touch. The spoiler is a toss up and is all your opinion...i like it....and finally...that paint is fuggin beautifull!!!! Love the car man

I don't think they look bad, I just happen to really like the natural lines of camaros :shrug: I think they look awesome sleek and simple, just sexy the way they were meant to. Just a personal opinion :cool:
