Just wondering after the car warms up, what the correct oil pressure should be at. mine seems a little low, and what could be the result of that? thanks for the help.

It depends on whether or not it's an auto or M6, because the auto has a lower idle speed. With an auto in drive, you should see about 20psi. That's what I see in my car, and what I saw in my last LT1 too. With an M6 it will be closer to around 30-35 psi at idle.

At 2000rpm when the oil is warmed up, I see about 40-45psi.

Tim,

It depends on the choice of oil you use also. If you use 20-50 or a thicker oil it will read higher.

Mine sees 20psi at idle.

When I had my tranny rebuild they broke the oil sending unit and that made the pressure drop at idle...real low.

Just my o2:drive:

That's a good point Dustin, when using the thicker 50wt oils the pressure will be higher. I'm basing my observation on using a 30wt oil.

oh ok thanks dustin.. and guys.. well mine reads a little below 20, now my tranny has been acting up for the 5 th millionth time, so im taking it back again sucks. But i usually use synthetic 10w30 the normal wieght oil. Seems as if a long time ago i may have craked my head gasket when the car overheated that could be the problem.. i just feel like im at a loss of power..there are so many variables right now its hard to tell....my fuel pump is taking a poop, and whining, the tranny is a piece of poop, and the car has alot of miles on it...not as many as yours dustin but a sure as a hell of alot.
