What should switch to? I will stay on a stock tune so i want a 114lsa. I have a 3500 stall,lid,loudmouth,macs/ory,FTRA,Ported TB,comp 918's and my current B1. I want bigger than a TR224 so dont suggest that. Im thinking 228 duration or so.
Thanks Tony

I think if you go with a 228 or similar cam you'll be cheating yourself unless you get it tuned.

TSP 228R is a good choice and is on a 114LSA.

i thought you already decided on a new cam , didnt you post this on ls1tech? anything bigger then the b1 you'll want a tune, especially with an a4. why not with a custom cam, i'd go with a custom FMS cam myself.

I wouldnt go any higher than the B1 on a stock tune. Anything higher and you'll be wasting your time with the change because the cam wont run to its potential with the stock programming.

lol, im having second thoughts on my T1 i have. gonna talk to Allen at FMS and see whats up, maybe get me a custom grind from there. what really impresses me about there cams is the torque and power there putting under the curve, not just peak gains.

You see a lot of cams for sale because some owners could not get a decent tune to go along with the new cam purchase. Some shops do not know how or do not take the time to tune a car correctly. Sad but true. So he reinstalls his stock cam and sells that crappy running big cam. Hopefully the socalled tuning speciallist saved his stock tune for downloading.

I agree 100% I just put in a FMS 11 to replace my 224. Talk about night and day difference. Instead of staying with a 112, I went with a 114. My buddy just did the same swap, but swapped out the tr224 114 for a fm 11 on 112. Both are very noticable gains from SOTP.
