What radar detector are you guys running?

I just got the Passport 8500 for my B-day and it has already saved my ass a couple times. It works great. Oh and I was driving the Jimmy, not the T/A. Lets hope it works the same in the T/A. I got a question, what is ZR3? The box says that my detector is compatable with ZR3.

So what is everyone running?

I have a Bel 880 that I have had for several years. Not the best out there but I like it.

generally all detectors are the same... most are legal because law makes them only able to read at a mile away max or i forget the exact distance.... so if noone's infront or behind you and your detector goes off it's too late to hit the brakes cause he's already got your speed.... but if there is someone infront of your or behind you he will check their speed before you... giving you time to slow down.... some ;)

But now some have jammers/scramblers that funk the cops radar signal up.

yeah you get caught with a jammer... lol.. they really like that. =X
most cops can tell you're speeding esp if they get an ERR on the radar

BTW all LEGAL jammers are jokes on the buyer. the only one who gets any benefit is the seller.

Illegal jammers work.. but since they work they are ILLEGAL.. don't get caught with one.

I have a bel 985, and other than telling me where all the automatic doors in town are, is a fantastic unit. And any available (legal) radar jammer is just a big joke, NONE do squat. There are functional and legal laser jammers, but they aren't cheap.

I have had the same uniden for 5 years and it has never failed me! But one when i had the radio up to loud and did not hear it go off I did get a ticket ! !

The radar Detector is only as smart as the driver ! :D

V1 and an 8500, both are good but the V1 is the best.
