I am contemplating buying a set of Harlan Sharp 1.8 rockers, & I am curious if anyone knows what affect it will have on my tune? Like a bigger cam might. I want the rockers for peace of mind, but I figure it's going to be 2 years before I install a cam & heads, so why not go with the 1.8s & get a little extra power until then.
Thoughts anyone?
the PCM should easily be able to compensate for a stock cam and 1.8 rockers. your looking ~200/210 .525/.526 119.5 with a tad more overlap. also dont expect much power.

Thanks jrp! Yeah, I am mostly doing this for ease of mind. I know the stock rockers & pushrods are weak. But figured why not get a little gain while I'm at it. James is working on a custom tune for me now, and he knows about these, so hopefully he'll tweak it all in for me.
I turned a 12.9x @ 108.5 today with limited traction (had to let off every pass in first gear) so I'm hoping that this season with a tune etc I can hit 12.70s....maybe even 12.60s if I get a good run.

I thought I'd let you guys know, last week I installed the latest custom tune from James & my LTFTs went form +5 at idle to 0, but they were still positive at cruise. So Sunday after I finally got these new rocker arms installed (I plan to post the horror story) I took it for a drive & my LTFTs were -7 at idle & - 1.5 at cruise! Interesting....
interesting, the rockers ruchened you up

Do the longterm fuel trims get reset when you got the new tune? Just curious and it may explain them going away with a new tune.

They come up at zero when you start the car, but they are still at these new numbers.
