I almost bought a set of 18" chrome Z06 wheels but I am worried about the salt air and the wheels pitting.

I may go with the 17" grand sports, what is everyones thoughts.

I almost need something painted or polished??

I have the 17" ZR1, 11 in the rear and std in the front. I'd personally stayt away from policshed or chrome that close to the beach. JMHO though. There are plenty of folks here that have them. Check the Fla. section for the PCB gang members. I just hate the constant upkeep with chrome near the salt water.

I live right on the beach with pollished 200s' I don't see much of a problem...

and my car is even NBM...
why do we need to know your car color for this question?

The color of the car is mentioned becuase I might buy the grand sport wheels, and I am not sure how they would look on a NBM.

Thanks

I have seen a picture of a NMB WS6 with GrandSports...looked pretty good.

But like I said, you can not live any closer to the ocean than I do, and my polished wheels are great.

I haven't had a problem with my chrome ZR1s...but maybe that's just me?

I live about five minutes from the gulf, and I never had a problem with my chrome wheels.

Just a heads up: I just ordered and payed for some American Racing Torque Thrust II rims with the Classic grey painted spokes and center. My Formula is also NBM. The rims are made to order so I will not have them for about 6 weeks :( .
Let me know if you are interested, I can get you in touch with Travis (02 WS6 TA on this board); he is the manager at Big 10 Tire on Panama City Beach, and he is getting my rims and tires for me ;) .

2 Sets of chromies here, 2 blocks from the water, 2.5 years. No problems.

I am not willing to divulge exact prices. I will say that I got the wheels and Nitto rubber, mounted and balanced, and all the hardware for under $2,499.
