There are several products out there for DIY tuning such as software such as autotap, there are add-ons such as maft, there's hypertek programmers and other things.
My question is, what is needed to tune your own car, assuming you know what your doing. Also, if you're up on tuning your car regularly, do you really need a maft or hypertek?
I have recently been adding mods and i want to get my ss fine tuned but don't know where to start - i'm thinking of taking it to get tuned, but if i do that, do i still need a maft or chip/programmer or anything to maximize the performance?
