I've got an odd shaped dyno graph I think.. I was just wondering if its normal for the line to go almost 45 degrees downward from 3000 to 6000 rpms?
I know I have a lot of belt slip, because boost drops from ~5 lbs at 3000 to ~1# at 6000 (per the boost gauge, and seen in timing in efi live), hp curve looks normal up to about 4100, then levels off and goes down a little towards 6000.
also, how accurate is 580 rwtq as my peak torque? Is that just the converter flashing or is that a real number?
have a vigilante 3400 stall 2.0 str

I think you know you have, some type, of an issue. What is the STR of that conveter? What are the gears in back?

It is the converter flashing but you will have gobs of torque with a high STR on the converter.

edit. Oh 2.0 STR mmmm....

Does your dyno look like this?

more or less.. its a little more dramatic drop than that.. if you want to plot points:

the graph starts at 3000 and ends at 6200

3000: 580 tq 337 hp ~5 psi 11.9 a/f
3500: 540 tq 361 hp ~5 psi 12.0 a/f
4000: 497 tq 380 hp ~5 psi 11.9 a/f
4500: 445 tq 381 hp ~4 psi 12.0 a/f
5000: 390 tq 377 hp ~3 psi 12.0 a/f
5500: 355 tq 371 hp ~2 psi 12.1 a/f
6000: 310 tq 358 hp ~1 psi 12.4 a/f

lots of belt slippage due to lack of communication. it has the MMS crank pulley and still has the 3.4 p1sc pulley (7#'s on stock pulley). So it's probably trying to make ~14 lbs. Only problem is the belt is for a 3.8 - 3.9 pulley, so the belt cant get a good hold on the pulley to spin it up.

it's got 3.23's out back, I thought 2.0 was pretty mild.. since it's pretty much just a weekend driver (will see some track time once it's tuned with the new pulley though)

Converter may be burnt up. I would get it tuned then worry about it myself.
