4L60E help buying parts
Have any of you ever used these guys?

http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L60E.htm

They make the Raptor 4L60E

I may be buying all my parts and have the trans done locally, and also the R&R.
The shipping is too much, or non existant, to get a trans to Alaska.
I know my trans doesn't have long to go, so I am trying to put some ideas together.
My mods are in sig below. Thanks for any help.
I am going to get these parts to start with, and anything else I need.

#6 - Borg Warner Sprag
#11X - Raybestos Kevlar band
#14XX - Raybestos Blue Plate special ctuches
#19X - 5-pinion rear planet
#19XX - 5-pinion front planet
#44X - reaction carrier shaft with Beast shell
#45 - Torque Drive, hardened input shaft and shell

I belive they quoted me about $1000 for this stuff plus S&H
My R&R of the tranny will be about $2000

$2000 for labor WOW that hurts

our stage 4 4l60e is $1775 shipped to the lower 48 states with your core and our install is $350 so i would say your paying way to much

good luck

I had another guy quote me for like 2500 for everything(with his own "heavy duty parts"), but I would rather have someone who knows about performance trans do it, and he said I can get super duty parts and bring them in, or he can do it.
Chef, your deal is a good bang for buck, that's for sure.
Do you guys build it, or is it FLP or something?

It sucks being so far away sometimes

free shipping to Alaska? EDIT_ zip is 99515

How much for core, or is that(turnaround) included?

Can you get me a list of parts that your builder uses?

basically all the parts I listed are some of the best available,
and I don't want to have to mess with the trans again for a while :D
I will probably also be getting a stall. I think I want a 3000 stall, but not positive yet, since I do drive it in the winter(4-6 months a year ;) )

what kind of guarantee?
I will probably be having Alaska Transmission and Gear do the install.
Thanks

FLP WILL ship me one for 410 bucks round trip including turnaround for core.
2695 for their level 5, with their best parts, plus I need the steel vacuum line for their trans, plus boost bypass for the trans vac. line. 895 for Vig convertor.
Wasn't really planning on 4-5 grand for the trans including install

The web site you asked about they're good for parts. I live in the town that they are in and I just built my trany my self ('00 4L60E) w/ thier parts the same parts you are talking about useing and it seems to be doing great! It's been together for about 4 months now. The parts are good parts! ;)
