ive had my truck now for about a year and a half and ive had 2 12" subs in there pretty much te whole time , and I always am riding around playing it as loud as it will go and tonight i was driving and was thinking that i still have the stock speakers in the door. No problem with tham at all. I used to have a 95 2dr GMC Yukon and blwe the sh!t outa of the stock door speakers pretty quickly with the same setup i have now. Just wanted to say they did a great job with the new speakers they have in the ls1 trucks. Sounds Really good too.

I've noticed this too. Not only do they sounds pretty damn good (at least for a stock part), but they're decently loud too. I've had a few people ask about the "system" in my truck, and it's great to tell them it's bone stock.

I would have to say that my stereo in the Silverado is better than the monsoon was in my old Z28. :yup:

I have been fairly pleased with mine as well. Mine are going on four years behind an Alpine 852. Although they do start sounding pretty bad when you give them some power though. Mine are getting replaced with some Infinity Reference componets in the front and Polk coax 4x6 in the rear next weekend though.

What sytem do you have? I have the Bose in my 03 x-cab and I don't think it sounds as good as the f-body Monsoon.
