Are they really necessary? I know it is a safeguard agains bent shift forks, but is it really that importiant to have a shifter with them built in?? Reason I ask is because I have had it up to here with the rattles and vibrations that my PRO5.0 shifter gives off. I have driven a few cars with the factory Hurst with the LSS installed, and it felt 10x better than my PRO. The only thing that has stopped me from going back to the factory Hurst is the postive stops that aftermarket shifters provide.

thoughts??

I am installing an aftermarket shifter on my TREMEC. Do you have any suggestions?
AThe major problem with aftermarket shifters is that they have stops on them. To install them correctly, you will have to remove the stops completely. Our transmissions are built with internal stops.

Bent shift forks happen a lot less than people think. :) Go for the factory shifter.
