Well to start off, I am a big Black-Magic fan. I just found out they came out with a wax. I went to an auto store to pick me up some and try out. Yesterday I used the wax expecting it to work great like all it's other products. Once I applyed the wax, I could NOT get it off. I used water and 100% cotton rags. I tried to apply more wax over the old wax to help remove it. Would not work, instead the wax stuck like glue to my truck. I had to get my good wax (zaino) to remove this awful wax from my truck.

This wax is tuff to remove from your truck if used. Just a warning to all other members. Beware of Black-Magic wax.

Wait....you used a polymer coating to remove a wax? That doesn't even make sense. Your zaino will not last long at all because it can't bond to wax. You probably had a poorly prepped surface, or you used way too much wax. A tiny bit of wax goes a long long way. Remember, LESS IS MORE! when you apply wax,99% of what you applied gets buffed off the car. If you have trouble still in the future getting it off, use a high quality car shampoo to get it off, or if you wanna go cheap, use dawn, but there are much better products out there than dawn that are much gentler on your car and can clean just as well.

thanks for this info, but I know how to wax a car.

I was giving my feedback on the wax, not asking for help.

I guess this is why i stick with ls1tech. LS2 seems to be just like LS1. Always killing threads and never believing other members. Pretty sad how you guys bash on your own members.

Bye bye ls2.com and hello back to ls1tech.com. I thought Zed and Elmer would do a good job here.

What do they have to do with me bieng an ass. You simply said something that makes no sense at all. I tried to correct you, you spat it back in my face. What you said is roughly the equvilent of someone saying "I run nitrouse through my exhaust." I was just trying to help, but if you want to live in denial, so be it.

When it comes to waxes and polishes, you generally get what you pay for. It is extremely puzzling how you got Zaino to remove the Black Magic, especially considering Zaino's formula contains no abrasives whatsoever. There are a lot of things that don't quite equate here...I'm *not* saying it didn't happen the way you said it, but it just seems like there's something missing from this whole story.

I can't even begin to tell you how important surface prep is to doing anything to your paint...whether it is compounding, polishing, or waxing. Seriously, if you skip on the surface prep, your results will be inconsistent at best, and at worst, your paint will look worse than when you began.

Regardless, I hope you get everything worked out, but at the same time, don't be afraid to try the new stuff. For me, Zaino didn't do what I wanted...therefore, I switched to a Blackfire/P21S combo that is working very well for me. There are plenty of good products out there on the market...just because you had a bad experience with one doesn't mean you need to be afraid to try anything else.

:dunno:

i didn't bash you - i simply asked how zaino removed a wax that was stuck on your car. i'm a zaino user so i'm sure not bashing you or the use of zaino. zaino is non abrasive.... i don't see how zaino would remove it. that's why you clay and dawn wash before zaino. please enlighten me (us).

If you buy a cheap wax, you are gonna get cheap results. Anybody that doesn't prep their car first and then puts cheap ass wax on it shouldn't even bother geeeez
