Coming up soon this spring will be my first real waxing job. I just picked up some Meguiars NXT. MY concerns are: do I just give the car a good wash and dry, and then start applying the wax? Are there any special ways or best ways to do this? It came with a foam pad, so I was just going to use that, rub it in, let it sit, and then wipe it up with mocrofiber towels???

Please help, basically all I am asking is do I just give the car a good wash, dry it, and then go ahead with the waxing?

Depends on how well you want your car to look. There is a longer more drawn out, intricat process that you can fallow if you want your car to look fwiggen awesome. If you just want it to look somewhat decent you do what you stated earlier.

yep - depends on how much of a nut you want to become ;) if you just want to get some wax on there - do what you said. wash the car and get it clean, then wax.

now if you want to go farther - there is prep work (dawn wash, clay bar), what type of wax to use, what type of towels to use, etc, etc ;)

ps - i still got snow around here. no detailing for me yet :(
