Thinking of going with the Koni's up front and the bilstein's in the rear that is offered at stranoparts.com

Just curious what spring I need to go with this set-up?? I was thinking the BMR springs cause of my headers and they only drop the car an inch.

Is this a good set-up for good handling and top speed runs?? Or would another spring/shock combo work better. I am looking more for top speed and handling instead of a drag set-up.

Thanks

I'd just go stock springs... like I did w/ strano's set up (lowered my car 3/4 to an inch all round, didn't measure though). Search for my name in here for pics (yeah it's late and I'm lazy)

Edit- here ya go:

To sum up the difference, the car is now FUN to drive. Before, the car felt like a fat pig. Now it actually feels lighter. I've got a couple friends that are huge into Auto-xing and the drove the before/after and said it really made a nice difference. Ride quality is fine. Less floaty.

As for height difference. The Konis up front have a c-clip on the shock body. This can be moved lower down into another grove. This lowers the lower hat that the spring fits in:

In back the top of the spring sits on a fat rubber isolater. This isolater can be tossed and in it's place you can put 5/8ths heater hose around the top coil (I'd get bout 4-5 feet)

These mods can lower the car 3/4-1 inch all round. I didn't measure before/after but the pics can show it a little bit. The car looks sooo much better now in person

As for the combo, I read up on what Mitchntx and Eugino_SS said. I gathered that the rear adjustable wasn't really needed since your main suspension to worry about is the front on braking/handling. Plus it was cheaper.

I got my combo on a special from Sam Strano, it looks like he's still running it. It was $629 to my door. (I went w/ 3rd gen Bilstens too)

Tell em Mike 01hawk sent ya

Edit again:

I have jet hot lts and catted-y with this setup too. I wouldn't wanna get much lower than that, but people HAVE run the G2 SS springs that slam w/ this combo and haven't had too much difficulty. To me, I'd rather just be raised a bit and not have to constantly worry about if my Y or Headers are gonna go crunch.

another vote for stock springs... It'll handle better than the BMR

Looks nice. I'm looking for a minimal drop also. I have LT's and don't want to scrap them up. I'm carefull, but things happen. So, stock springs with the shock package from Sam plus replace the rear rubber with heater hose. And those are 17's correct?

Yup 99zee, 17x9 Firehawk painted 5 spokes. 275/40/17 all round.
